When we started working with Pins Gourmets, the first thing that stood out was how much of the kitchen knowledge lived in scattered notes, voice memos, and the head of whoever happened to be on shift. Recipe testing results, supplier preferences, and plating notes were all real and valuable, but there was no single place where a new collaborator could sit down and understand how this kitchen actually works.

The Client Onboarding Portal was built to fix exactly that. Instead of a generic welcome packet, we created a structured reference that walks a new client through the full arc of working with us: how we document recipe development, what our testing cycles look like, how we handle seasonal ingredient swaps, and where the decision points sit in a typical project timeline. The goal was to make the first month feel less like guesswork and more like following a well-tested recipe.

We organized the portal around the same logic we use in the kitchen. Each section covers one stage of the process, from the initial brief and ingredient sourcing to the final plating review. Every stage includes concrete details: who approves what, what equipment we recommend, how we document variations, and what happens when a seasonal ingredient underperforms. The tone is practical, not promotional, because the portal is meant to be used, not admired.

The result is a reference that has already shortened the onboarding period for new clients by several weeks. Instead of repeating the same explanations on every call, we now point people to the relevant section and spend the meeting time on actual decisions. It also forced us to write down a lot of implicit knowledge that had never been captured before, which turned out to be just as valuable for our own team as it was for clients.
